Applied standards
- TCVN 3223: 2000 E430
- ASME/AWS A5.1 E6013
Characteristics – applications:
- N42 – VD is the electriode under the group of rutile sheath. The welded joints are less defective; arc is stable without splashing and explosion and slags are easily blistered. The well-fined welded joints are ductile and have endurance bending strength. Possibly welding at all positions.
- Suitable for welding low-carbon steel under 430 ~ 490 Mpa load such as rolled-steel structures, barge’s shell, ferry, basin, etc.

Instructions for use:
- Clean oil, grease and dust before welding
- If the electrode is wet, dry at 70 ~100 0 C for 30 ~60 minutes before welding
- Process welding edges as regulated
- Select appropriate welding current to avoid possible defects
- Use AC or DC± power
